We have been working with ‘Foam Symmetry’ now for the past year or so, they started in 2011 and we noticed it from the first issue. Kind of after ‘The longboard magazine’ dropped of after such a stellar run from 93 to around 2006 and collecting every issue on my bookshelf I have been watching but never really seen anything to match it in terms of ‘the state of longboard surfing.’ What was obvious however is that the longboard movement followed progressed along a more soulful route and as the desperate pro turned into the traveling hipster, the market opened up and as commercial boredom set into the sports popularity, the heart and soul started to shine through and longboarding found its heartbeat. Surfing’s true origins were resurrected with people who couldn’t care less for surfing’s hype and it sided with a whole genre of cool whose people worked with a passion. And so….Foam Symmetry was born and its true to what it represents. Its a publication of love, peddled from the heart and is becoming loved by many. We agreed to distribute it into the USA last year and everyone who picked it up has been so positive, even the Barnes & Noble buyer, just returning from a trip to Bali got her copy in the New York office and said it reminds her of a bar of wax !!! We hope you manage to find it, enjoy it, collect it & read it – its shaping the things to come and its fuel is love……..
